Our
Story
Nichols Thoroughbreds and Kennels operates out of Celeste TX encompassing 100 acers Thoroughbred Farm we offer breeding to Petes Cat. Our Family farm spands 3 generations will offer more as we grow and is one of the newest Thoroughbred farms in Texas in the East
Central part of Dallas, TX. Currently standing at Nichols Thoroughbreds and Kennels Ranch is Pete's Cat, the son of Mountain Cat.
Owner and Trainer: Les Nichols
 
A native
of Celeste, TX, Les Nichols is a lifelong horseman who races at
Lone Star Park, Louisiana Downs, Ratoma, and Sam Houston.
Les is a licensed 18-year experienced paramutual thoroughbred
horse trainer. In 2002, Les was honored by the Texas
Thoroughbred Association with the Thoroughbred Man of the Year
award in regards to his long ride to honor the victims of
September 11th. Les rode a thoroughbred horse named J.J.'s
Cowboy from the Alamo to New York City in an eight month
pilgrimage to honor those who lost their lives that day.
