Shipping

When you decide on your new puppy it may be possible to have your new puppy shipped out to you within 24 to 48 hours.  If you desire to have your puppy shipped via airlines, an additional fee of $199 in the United States, $350 to Puerto Rico or Alaska, or $375 to Canada may apply.

We can ship to Canada on Continental Airlines for $375, however many customers from Canada and Mexico drive to pick up their new puppy at airports in the United States.

Your new puppy comes with a hard sided carrier which can be reused later, dry food, a tube of Nutri Stat (baby feed, a feeding syringe for puppies under 2 lbs.) and toys when available.  Every puppy comes with our contract, health certificate, shot records and registration papers.

Post Puppy Purchase

Items needed for airport:  some form of photo ID, bottled water, baby wipes, towel, Nutra-Cal nutritional supplement, your flight schedule and confirmation number.

Before you go to the airport to pick up your new puppy make sure you have called the airline first (have your confirmation number on hand) to confirm the flight's arrival and exactly where to pick your puppy up from the airport.  If you are picking your puppy up from the airlines cargo area, this is normally a building separate from the passenger building of the airport.

Bring bottled water and offer it to your puppy before you travel home.  Feed puppy only one tablespoon of moist food if you are traveling 2 or more hours from the airport.  Your puppy was fed before departure and will be traveling for about 4-8 hours, depending on if you are on the coast or midwest.

If your puppy is under 2 pounds upon arrival, offer one pea-size of Nutra-Cal or Nutra-Stat.  Let your puppy walk around to get a bit of exercise before you begin to travel to your destination.

Make sure you remove the information packet which is taped to the top of your shipping crate.  This contains the shot records, health certificate, registration papers and your contract.  Do not leave pick up area without this information.  It is a very difficult, expensive and long drawn-out process to get duplicate registration papers!

If possible hold your puppy when traveling home as many puppies will get car sick after traveling.  If puppy is drooling or has vomited don't worry, this is normal.  This happens more often when a puppy travels in a small shipping crate.  Comfort your puppy and keep them cozy with your towel and keep out of cold drafts.

When you arrive home, take outside and allow 20 minutes to potty.  Then offer your puppy dry food (we use Caesar's).  If for some reason your puppy is refusing to eat, try these different additives mixed with dry food:  chicken livers, plain yogurt, cottage cheese or meat flavored 1st step baby food (beef or chicken).  This is not a permanent diet, but your puppy must eat something within the first 24 hours.

Teacup size puppies:  Feed Nutra-Cal, the size of a large pea, for breakfast and bedtime for two weeks.  Use this product sparingly; one whole tube will last the entire life of the puppy.

In order for the health warranty to remain valid and in force, your puppy must be examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival at your home.  We recommend not giving a rabies shot until your puppy is 6 months old.

We recommend using a large "open" crate if you desire to crate train your puppy.  Go to www.eukanuba.com for registration and coupons for your new puppy.

Items needed before you get your new puppy:
1.  Dog food, mini puppy from www.eukanuba.com
2.  Moist puppy food, your puppy is accustomed to Caesar's band for puppies, available at Wal-Mart
3.  Chew toys
4.  Nutri-Cal or Nutri-Stat
